Are
Turn-Motion was founded by Georg Popp and Chien-hua Huang. Georg’s left leg and right foot were paralyzed by a polio vaccine, necessitating the use of orthoses for walking. Throughout his life, Georg has worn all possible lower limb orthotic systems, only to find that many problems remain unsolved. Georg’s work focuses on structural design, motion capture and adaptive design algorithms in additive manufacturing. Chien-Hua is an award winning expert in material-aware computational design and machine learning-based structural optimization. With extensive experience in diverse cross-disciplinary projects, he is dedicated to delivering innovative, scalable, and affordable solutions that advance human mobility.
